I’m not a new customer at Bark Place, but I’ve never used the customer portal before. Do I register as a new customer or sign in as an existing customer?

If you are an exisiting Bark Place client who has had an appointment with us since June 1, 2020 then you will proceed as an EXISTING customer, because we have started a profile for you. If you are new to Bark Place or you have NOT had an appointment sine June 1, 2020 then you should sign up as a NEW customer and complete the entire registration process.

I know you’ve started a profile for me, but I don’t know the password. How do I get the password for my account?

The first time you login, the system should prompt you to set-up a password. But don’t worry if it doesn’t. If it asks you for a password but doesnt give you a chance to set one up, just click the FORGOT PASSWORD link. The system will send you an e-mail or text message (whichever you prefer) containing a link to set-up your password.

I am trying to register but it keeps telling me my phone number is already in use.   What does this mean?

This most likely means that you are already registered.  Instead of signing up, go back to the login screen or click existing customer and try to login using your phone number.  If it doesn’t prompt you to enter a password, click lost password and you’ll be sent a link to set up a password.  Once logged in, just make sure the file matches your pet. If for some reason it does not, please contact us immediately. 

I don’t want to do all this. I hate computers and they hate me. Is there another way I can register and set-up an appointment?

Of course there is!   You can always call us at 212-737-3510 and press 0 to reach our bookings department where a live person will help you get signed up and book your appointment.  If no one answers, just leave a messsage and someone will call you back promptly! 

It asks for a mobile number where I can receive texts, but I don’t have a mobile number. This is a required field. Does this mean I can not register?

 No, enter one pet at a time please.  When you finish each pet, you will have a chance to add another one until you have entered them all in.

No!  You can still register.  Just put your landline number in the mobile phone number space, and when you get down to the “notes about the human” section, just tell us that you aren’t able to receive text messages.  We will make sure you get phone calls and e-mails instead.   Make sure you enter in an e-mail address though.  One or the other is needed to sign in each time you want to make an appointment.

No! You will need an e-mail address to register so here are some options. If you have a friend or family member who you ask to receive e-mails from Bark Place on your behalf then you might want to do that. Or you can sign up for a free e-mail address at Gmail.com, aol.com and yahoo.com.

I am already registered and trying to make an appoitment. I keep getting all the way to the end and they system is stopping me because it says something is missing in my profile. It has never done this before. How can I fix whatever it is?

I keep getting a text message from the number 62990 asking me to sign the Bark Place Terms of Service. How does that work? Is it really from Bark Place?

Yes! That’s from us. You will need to agree to those terms of service before we can move forward. By sending them to your smart phone, it gives you the chance to read throught them and actually see what our mutual agreement says. When you’re done looking it over, its as simple as typing your name and signing with your finger or stylus.

Can I pay my invoice remotely without the risk of touching someone or something else other than my own devices?

Yes you can pay for your invoice using the customer portal. Here’s how: 1) Either when you book your appointment, when you drop your pet off or by textings 62990 let us know you plan to pay from the portal. We will then be able to set up your invoice for you. Once you have recieved confirmation that your invoice is ready to be paid, you will login to barkplacenyc.com/ bookings click the ‘My Account’ drop dowjn an choose VIEW INVOICES. On that page, look for a green dollar sign on the list of invoices. That is the invoice that needs to be paid. Check the TOTAL CHARGES column for the amount that is due and Click that green dollar sign. The credit card processor will appear on your screen. Enter the amount, credit or debit card information (and all other pertinents) and hit “pay now” and your transaction should be complete. Note your confirmation number for you payment just in case you need it later and go pick up your pet.

When booking an appointment for the first time how do I decide which groomer I should schedule my first appointment with?

We have an amazing staff of extremely talented groomers and stylists so I’m sure we can find a good fit for you. For you first time, it may depend on who is availabe at the time you would like to come. For you convenience, some groomers book appointments at the top of the hour and others on the half hour. Choose the one that best fits your schedule.

Will you still contact me to remind me about my appointment the day before it occurs?

We still contact your to remind you about appointment. You will receive a text message confirmation 24 hours before you appointments starts. There you will have a chance to cancel the appointment if needed.
